This weekend is the Cycle World motorcycle show in San Mateo, and our local NorCal Riders for Health chapter will have a booth to help spread the word. As usual, I’m donating something, in this case two of my favorite photos from the 2009 season. The above photo was taken a the Sachsenring in Germany, where Rossi came out on top of yet another thrilling duel with his arch-rival, Jorge Lorenzo.
The second photo is of Casey Stoner, taken during practice at MotoGP’s final visit to Donington Park. Though not a great result for Casey, as he gambled on full wet tires only to find the rain stay away, I love this shot because it’s a rare instance of seeing Stoner’s face. He’s a tinted visor rider, so most of the time we only see a dark face shield instead of his intense concentration.
