And he’s gone again.

Dani Pedrosa has hit the deck again and this time broken his other (right side) collar bone, leaving one mending from his recent operation to remove plate and screws and the other possibly receiving a new set of hardware. I’m not the only one wondering if Dani is simply too fragile to complete a MotoGP season without missing too many races due to injury. As Eurosport commentator Julian Ryder pointed out, all racers fall down, but they don’t all break when they do so. The safety level of modern tracks means that most crashes result in riders walking away with bruises or aches at the most, but Dani seems usually to suffer something more severe when he goes down, resulting in missed races and dashed hopes for the championship. Perhaps the three weeks before the Spanish GP will allow Dani to recover from this clean break and be competitive in Barcelona, and perhaps this will be his last big injury of the season. We can only hope.

  • Jan Lee

Poor guy. Maybe he needs calcium and vitamin D supplements.

    • It’s official: Dani has decided to have a titanium plate installed to speed the recovery of his collarbone fracture and hopes to be strong enough to race at his home GP in Barcelona in three weeks. I think those supplements and a lot of milk would be a good idea.

  • In all fairness, he realy hit the curbstone with his shoulder. But he does indeed “brake” allot.
Maybe “mister glass” would be a nice nickname?
I do hope he recovers soon. I fear that without Danny, Casey would have litle problems securing his second title.
