Photo Tip: Check the date setting on your digital camera! It may not seem important enough to do today, and perhaps a bit of a bother to find the page in the manual that tells you how to do it. But it may pay off in the future such that you’ll be VERY glad you took the time to do it today.
I am currently sorting through photos from 7, 8 and nine years ago, taken on various digital cameras which had incorrect dates on them. I REALLY wish those dates were correct so that I could identify just when the events shown in the family photos took place. Remember how some prints used to come with the date shown in red characters? Digital cameras put that info in the Exif data, but it’s only as accurate as we allow it to be. And it just may come in very handy years from now if you take the time to sort it out now.
